Hui and Functions

Waikawa Marae has a fully functioning commercial kitchen within our wharekai ‘Whakakotahi’ - to be together as one.

We are able to cater from anywhere between 10 and 100 people. The kai produced by Waikawa Marae caterers and whānau is absolutely amazing! We use old whānau recipes that have been past down through generations just so our manuhiri get a ‘taste of Waikawa’.

Waikawa Marae has an alcohol free policy but are open to applications for your special event.

We have the facilities for a range of different events:

• Cultural experiences

• Hui, wānanga and retreats

• Birthdays and Weddings

• Team building/planning

• Conferences, events, and community outreach programmes.
