Kia ora!
Thank you for registering for our wānanga to be held on Friday 10th – Sunday 12th January 2025.
Please see our programme below. Be aware that this may change slightly prior to your arrival on Friday.
Programme: Hui Whakaruruhau 10-12 January 2025
Our Whakaruruhau Goals:
• Our people grow in their knowledge, confidence and execution of our kawa.
• The opportunity to use and grow our reo on our marae and beyond
• Our people feel confident on our marae to support and lead when required (back and front).
• Our people are motivated to extend their reo knowledge and access learning opportunities to develop their own reo further.
Whānau, we understand that some of you will be arriving late on Friday night or early Saturday morning, thank you if you have already let us know of your travel plans. We also have some whānau staying at the Marae and some staying with whānau elsewhere.
When you arrive you will be asked to sign-in. Once signed in you will be put into a roopu. This is your roopu for cleaning, cooking, serving etc. Please ensure you are available for all mahi.
Please bring with you:
1. A koha
2. Some home baking or a plate to share during paramanawa
3. Something to contribute towards lunches and dinners. For example, a b&e pie, or grocery items.
4. A blanket (if you are staying on the Marae)
5. Willingness to learn and share.
We are looking forward to seeing you all on Friday the 10th January 2025 😉
Ngā mihi,
Te Whakaruruhau Kōmiti
